The Florida Department of Agriculture Division of Licensing-Regional Offices will now process CWP Applications. The Regional Office will do the Electronic Finger Printing, photo, and submission of your application electronically. It is suggested that you have your “Certificate of Training” and your “CWP Application” notarized prior to your appointment.
Licensees will be processed in a short time and you will receive the CWP License in about 5-12 days after processing and there may be time for scheduling an appointment for a month or more due to the back-log.
The fee is a flat $117.00 for the first 7 years then $65.00 for the next 7 years and will continue at the $65.00 fee every 7 years. You do not have to re-take the CWP Class for renewals. They will accept check or money order for $117.00; they will not accept cash or credit cards.

The bottom line is you must call for an appointment with the Regional Office. They do not accept walk-ins. Also, a person can still submit their application by mail if they want to wait 3-8 months, which is not recommended.

Read all instructions (Chapter 790 and 776 Florida Statutes (laws) in the CWP Application Packet). By submission of your application to the Division of Licensing you are attesting that you have read and understand said statutes prior to your submission of the application. Read every word twice, cover to cover.
